A satellite symposium of OHBM 2023 on the topic of novel applications of neuroimaging to study the effects of sleep and lifestyle factors on cognitive health will take place at CRIUGM in Montreal on July 27, 2023.
Lifestyle factors such as sleep and physical activity have been shown to play an important role for brain health and cognitive functions, and therefore constitute potential interventions for the prevention of age-related cognitive decline and neurodegenerative diseases. New neuroimaging applications not only bring insight on the brain mechanisms by which lifestyle factors contribute to the concept of cognitive reserve, but also provide potential biomarkers of the effects of lifestyle modifications on brain function across the lifespan.
This full-day program will bring together international experts to discuss innovative neuroimaging applications for studying sleep and physical activity, as well as their effects on multiple aspects of brain structure and function, with a particular focus on the relationship between lifestyle factors and cognitive health. The program will be of interest to a large audience of neuroscientists and health professionals interested in the promotion of brain health through lifestyle modifications across the lifespan.
Call for abstracts
We invite all interested trainees and researchers to submit abstracts for this event. Abstracts must be in relation to neuroimaging work, and will be evaluated by the organizing committee. Accepted abstracts will be presented as posters during the in-person poster session taking place after the lunch. Please submit your abstract (max. 500 words) by June 15th, 2023.
