Thierry Judge, a master’s student working under the supervision of Professor Pierre-Marc Jodoin at the Université de Sherbrooke, has been featured in the media for his work using AI to detect heart disease in ultrasound images.
UdeS student develops technology to detect heart disease
A Sherbrooke researcher has developed an automated technology that accurately detects heart disease. Judge’s “groundbreaking work” brings automated diagnostics closer to widespread clinical use to reduce wait times and free up time for doctors.
Thierry Judge, a master’s student working under the supervision of Professor Pierre-Marc Jodoin in the Department of Computer Science at the Université de Sherbrooke, has developed a software package to determine when results generated by new artificial intelligence (AI) systems—which speed up ultrasound image analysis to detect heart disease—are incorrect or uncertain.
