Axelys and CQDM are inviting all members of the ecosystem involved in the personalised medicine sector, including researchers from Quebec universities and companies of all sizes, to submit ideas.
Do you want to develop an idea? Do you want to protect an invention? Do you have a technological maturation or business creation project? This call for ideas is for you!
Axelys and CQDM are proud to launch a joint call for ideas with the aim of identifying innovative approaches or technological solutions in personalised medicine.
The complexity and variability of human biology make personalised medicine an indispensable approach to healthcare. By exploiting technologies in digital health, genomics, proteomics and metabolomics, personalised medicine offers the potential for better disease prediction and prevention, while making therapeutic strategies even more precise and effective.
For these reasons, Axelys and CQDM are inviting all members of the ecosystem involved in the personalised medicine sector, including researchers from Quebec universities and companies of all sizes, to submit ideas that :
- Improve or apply a technology developed at an academic institution or in industry;
- Explore innovative approaches to improve prevention, diagnosis, treatment and patient care in a personalised way that enhances the overall patient experience, while reducing complexity and associated costs;
- Pursue the development of cutting-edge technologies, with a critical eye on their seamless integration into the existing healthcare ecosystem, with a view to commercialisation that respects the principles of sustainability, accessibility and continuous improvement of care;
- May or may not include collaboration between industry and academic centres.
Axelys and CQDM encourage proposals that demonstrate a real understanding of the current and future challenges facing the healthcare system, with a focus on inclusive and responsible innovation that benefits all users of the healthcare system, without increasing its complexity.
The ideas submitted will be evaluated by the Axelys and CQDM teams. Depending on the nature of the ideas submitted, proposals for support, coaching or funding will be made to the applicants. Ideas may also be discussed with other partner organisations in order to respond adequately to the stated needs.
The deadline for submitting ideas is March 15, 2024.
