Popular Science and Outreach Competition

In 2019, QBIN launched its first Popular Science Competition. Members of the network were encouraged to submit a video describing their research intended for the general public. The competition winners received $500 (first place) and $300 (second place) prizes, and their videos can be viewed below.

The objective of this competition is to encourage young researchers to participate in public outreach activities by giving them the opportunity to develop their skills in presenting their research to a general audience, increasing the public’s awareness of bio-imaging research performed in Quebec, and attracting the next generation of scientists to the field.

Details of future competitions will be posted here and announcements will be distributed throughout the QBIN community.
