The 6th edition of the PAINtalks of the Quebec Network of Junior Pain Investigators (QNJPI) will take place on November 5th at the Salle des promotions in Quebec City.
As of now, it is expected that the event will be in a hybrid format, which means there will be an audience attending the event live, and the event will also be webcasted, simultaneously.
Despite the unprecedented circumstances brought by the COVID-19 pandemic, the previous year’s edition of PAINtalks was a success ! Over 1,200 people from all over the world registered for PAINtalks 2020, and nearly 4,000 online listeners followed the event live.
For those who do not know of PAINtalks, this event is an evening of popularized presentations focused on the theme of pain. These presentations are inspired by the TED-style talk format, and the event as a whole, is a bilingual initiative, that is free and open to all. Potential speakers are invited to submit their candidacy to present at the PAINtalks event, in order to disseminate their research to the general public.
The multidisciplinary team behind the PAINtalks event consists of students in the fields of radiation sciences, biomedical imaging, experimental surgery, rehabilitation sciences, virtual rehabilitation, health sciences, psychology and physical activity sciences.
