We are pleased to announce the 11th Academic Day of the Department of Radiology, Radiation Oncology and Nuclear Medicine of the Université de Montréal on February 2, 2023. For the first time, this Academic Day will take place in hybrid mode, that is in in-person and online.
Please note that after registering on the Eventbrite website:
- Those who select virtual options will be sent a Zoom link by email at a later date;
- Those who select the in-person options will be welcomed at the following address:
Pierre Péladeau Amphitheatre (CHUM)
1050 rue St-Denis, Montreal
As in past years, this day will allow you to accumulate training credits. In addition, participation in the morning’s educational activities will allow you to collect 3 hours of training for the clinical-teacher curriculum, which is a faculty requirement.
In addition, this year we will have the honour of presenting a plenary entitled “Surprises and Tricks along an Unlikely Route”. It will be moderated by Dr. Guy Breton, professor emeritus and rector emeritus of the Université de Montréal. Note that a lunch option will be offered to all those registered for this plenary. To apply, you must register before January 18, 2023. For organizational purposes, late registration will not be counted for meals.
The afternoon will be devoted to presentations of the department with topics of interest to our community: climate change, assessment of the environmental and clinical impacts of radio-oncology departments in response to COVID-19, the best presentations from our residents, and a panel discussion with several professors and researchers on future perspectives in the treatment of prostate cancer through imaging-guided therapies.
Finally, we will have the pleasure of honouring Dr. Odile Prosmanne with the Department Recognition Award for her outstanding career at our institution.
We hope to see many more of you this year!
