The 2024 edition of the QBIN Scientific Day will take place in-person on May 23rd at Concordia University in Montreal (downtown campus). Highlights will include keynote presentations by our annual Rising Star in Bio-Imaging in Quebec Award recipient(s) and our William Feindel Lecturer as well as presentations by our members. Registration is free and open to everyone.
Workshop
On May 22nd, a workshop on the living lab approach to bio-imaging research will be held prior to the Scientific Day. Organized by QBIN in collaboration with the TransMedTech Institute, this workshop will provide participants with practical strategies to integrate real-world experimentation environments into their research methodologies. Attendees will learn how to leverage collaborative spaces, engage stakeholders, and optimize data collection techniques to foster innovation and enhance scientific discovery in bio-imaging. Keynote lectures
The 2024 William Feindel Lecture will be given by professor Mickael Tanter (INSERM, Paris) and two Rising Star in Bio-Imaging in Quebec awards will be given to professors Marie Brossard-Racine (McGill University) and Emily Coffey (Concordia University).
Flash talk presentations
All QBIN members have the opportunity to submit an abstract to present their work in the form of a 3-minute flash talk. A $250 prize will be awarded to the best student or postdoc flash talk presenter in each session. The deadline to submit an abstract for a flash talk presentation is May 5th, 2024, 11:30PM.
