Soapbox Science acts as a platform for public awareness, with the main aim of promoting the scientific experience while highlighting the contributions of women scientists and their research. This one-day event is designed as an arena for public learning and scientific dialogue, featuring female speakers engaged in dialogues to disseminate new knowledge and ideas.
The main objective of SoapBox Science is to inspire, encourage and mobilize while actively promoting the principles of equity, diversity and inclusion in both the scientific community and society at large. Quebec City has already hosted 4 successful Soapbox Science events, demonstrating strong public interest.

We are currently looking for female speakers for our next event, scheduled for 8 June 2024. The call for applications is open to all women and non-binary people in all fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM): from PhD students to professors, from researchers to entrepreneurs (*minimum master’s degree or equivalent).
