QBIN Scientific Day 2023 – Submission deadline extended!

The 2023 edition of the QBIN Scientific Day will take place in-person on May 25th at the Alphonse-Desjardins Pavilion of the Université Laval in Quebec City. Highlights will include keynote presentations by our annual Rising Star in Bio-Imaging in Quebec Award recipient(s) and our William Feindel Lecturer as well as presentations by our members. Registration is free and open to everyone.

Workshop

On May 24, a workshop on AI and Imaging, sponsored by QBIN, will be held prior to the Scientific Day at the same venue. This satellite event is an initiative of the Centre de recherche en données massives (CRDM) and aims to put forward the actors developing new technologies related to the science and engineering of medical imaging data. Registration for the workshop is separate from that of the QBIN Scientific Day.

Keynote lectures

The 2023 William Feindel Lecture will be given by Professor Sandra Black (University of Toronto) and the Rising Star in Bio-Imaging in Quebec award will be given to Professor Matthieu Pelletier-Galarneau (Université de Montréal).

Flash talk presentations

All QBIN members have the opportunity to submit an abstract to present their work in the form of a 3-minute flash talk. A $250 prize will be awarded to the best student or postdoc flash talk presenter in each session.
