The 2022 edition of the QBIN Scientific Day will take place in-person on June 2nd at the faculty of medicine and health sciences of the Université de Sherbrooke. Highlights will include keynote presentations by our annual Rising Star in Bio-Imaging in Quebec Award recipient(s) and our William Feindel Lecturer as well as presentations by our members. Registration is free and open to everyone.
Keynote lectures
The 2022 William Feindel Lecture will be given by Professor Louis Collins (McGill University). Exceptionally this year, we will be awarding two Rising Star in Bio-Imaging in Quebec awards to Professors Sylvia Villeneuve (McGill University) and Hassan Rivaz (Concordia University).
Flash talk presentations
All QBIN members have the opportunity to submit an abstract to present their work in the form of a 3-minute flash talk. The flash talks will take place in the main lecture hall and will be followed by a discussion session during which attendees can interact with the presenters in dedicated “booths”, aided by any materials they wish to bring (e.g. laptop or tablet). Following the success of last year’s flash talk sessions, we have decided to continue with this more modern format in place of traditional poster sessions. A $250 prize will be awarded to the best student or postdoc flash talk presenter in each session.
Abstract submission deadline: April 29, 2022
More information about the program, registration, and abstract submission is available on the event website (link below).
We look forward to welcoming you in person once again!
